General
Policies
Orders are being taken for all products listed in our web site.
Quantities are limited and are subject to availability. As with all
footwear, sizes vary from one manufacturer to another. Domestic USA
orders are typically delivered in 7-10 days. We make every effort
to fill your order promptly.
Note: Head Start Shoes (HSS) is a retail shoe store located
in Philadelphia, PA not a manufacturer. HSS will NOT accept damages
nor returns purchased in other locations other than our store in Philadelphia
nor release any information regarding
the shoe manufacturers that we carry. For questions regarding any
manufacturer(s) please contact them directly or call where you purchased
your shoes.
Credit Card
Usage Policies
We currently accept Visa, Master Card, American
Express and Discover Card for orders in the USA only.
No credit cards accepted for international orders. We will accept
bank wires or international money orders in US currency.
Your credit
card will be charged when your order is ready for shipment. For
your protection against fraudulent credit card use, all orders are
subject to 100% credit card verification, so please be sure to provide
us with the correct billing information for the credit card you
are using. Our inability to verify any of the provided information
may result in the delay or cancellation of your order.

You may place an order by telephone Monday thru Saturday, 10:00
am to 5:30 PM EST. Be prepared to provide our customer service representative
with the following product information: manufacturer, model, color,
and size. All designers manufacture medium width only and sizes
vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Orders by fax are accepted 24 hours/7 days a week, please be
sure to include the following information:

to include a telephone, fax number or e-mail address so we may reach
you if there is a problem with processing your order.
Size Charts
As you know sizing differs not only from country to country but
also by designer. In order to simplify things we have taken the time
to interpret the various British, French, Italian and American sizes
into a standardized size run below. Most of our shoes are Italian sizes.
Should you be unhappy with the fit of a particular purchase you can
return that item, or exchange it for a different size. Please follow
the instructions listed under Returns.

Delivery
Domestic Orders
Our goal is to ship your order as quickly as possible. If an out-of-stock
condition does occur, you will be notified as soon as possible. We
adhere strictly to Federal Trade Commission regulations. Regular shipping
is determined according to the total dollar value of your order. To
determine your Shipping and Handling charge, please refer to the chart
below.

International
orders
International Orders are notified via e-mail of the cost of Shipping
and Handling (S&H). Once acceptance of the S&H fee is received, the
order is shipped via international courier. Customers are responsible
for any customs or taxes imposed on foreign orders. No credit cards
accepted for international orders. We will accept bank wires or international
money orders in US currency.
Canceling an
Order
Orders may be canceled prior to shipment. Once the product has
been shipped, we cannot accept your cancellation. Thanks for your
understanding.
Returns
Our policy is to satisfy each and every customer. If you are
not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly accept
your
return within 14 days from the date on your sales receipt. Any unworn
product still in the original packaging may be returned for exchange
or refund. Returns and exchanges will be processed within 30 days
of receipt. Items showing wear or not packaged properly will be returned
to you without credit.
Return Policy on Sale Merchandise
There are no credit card refunds on sale merchandise. All customers
returning items on sale will be issued an online store credit via
E-mail. The online store credit will be valid for one year from the
issued date.
Shipping Instructions
To make arrangements for your return, please call 1-215-567-3247 or
e-mail our customer service department at requests@headstartshoes.com.
A customer service representative will issue you a Return Authorization
Number (RAN) for your return. Products returned without a properly
issued RAN will not be accepted.
All packages must be prepaid and insured for your own protection.
Please do not mail any packages C.O.D. as they will not be accepted.
